Why many employers don't hire home-based workers ?

1. Employers are annoyed because people who want to work from home get so desperate that they completely ignore everything they've ever learned about business decorum, and they try to just bully their way into the job.

2. Jobseekers ignore the instructions given in the job description, and apply for any job that they see, whether or not they are qualified.
This wastes the employer's time, and there is nothing more annoying to an employer than having to sift through 1,000 unqualified resumes that flooded in from all over the world...within 1 day of posting a job online.

3. Jobseekers are so suspicious because of previously being scammed, that they don't recognize a high quality job description when they see one. Consequently, they send brief emails that say things like "Send more info", without even submitting a resume and properly formatted cover letter, as the employer clearly stated in the job description.
If you've been guilty of doing this, and you wondered why you didn't get a response, now you know why. Employers aren't interested in you if you don't take the time to follow their directions carefully.
Some jobseekers are downright rude to employers, because they are so convinced that every work at home position offered out there is a total scam. I've seen cover letters that say things like "I expect a response to this email within 24 hours. If I don't see a response from you within 24 hours, I will know you are a scam and I will report you to the BBB." How completely rude and disgraceful! Legitimate employers are busy people.
They don't have time to deal with people who have an attitude. There are too many better-qualified people out there who are polite and pleasant to hire. Why would any legitimate employer want to hire someone who is abusive and rude?

4. I'VE SEEN ENTIRE COVER LETTERS TYPED ALL IN CAPITALS, LIKE THIS.  ISN'T IT? ON THE INTERNET, TYPING ALL IN CAPITALS LIKE THIS IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE EQUIVALENT OF YELLING AT SOMEONE. SO, WHEN YOU TYPE OUT YOUR COVER LETTER ALL IN CAPITALS, EMPLOYERS INTERPRET THAT AS YOU YELLING AT THEM.

5. Jobseekers tend to be very vague and non-descriptive about what they can do for an employer. Rather than being specific, they say things like "I am willing to do anything you need" or "I can learn anything that is needed" or I know I am not qualified to apply for your position of ___, but if you are ever in need of someone who does ___, please call me right away". None of these strategies ever work with an employer. Employers want to know exactly what you can do, and they need you to specifically lay out why you qualify for that particular position. If they were hiring for other positions, they would have said so.

6. The top reason most employers decide never to hire home-based workers again is the most infuriating reason of all!

Here's a shocking statistic...Over 65% of all prospective homebased  workers do not follow through when they get the job!

Can you believe this? These are people who actively searched for a solid work at home position for a long time. When they are finally hired, they either don't follow through with the actual work that needs to get done, or employers find out that they were totally unqualified and lied about their qualifications just to get the job.
It's no wonder that so many employers have dropped the ball and never want to hire telecommuters.
It's simply not worth their time or effort to go through the whole hiring process, sift through 1,000+ unqualified resumes, and then get disappointed by individuals who do not care about their career enough to get the job done right the first time.
